Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts
Basic Fuel Types of Forklifts
Forklifts are powered lift trucks which are used in a wide variety of industries to move heavy supplies and products. Forklifts are tough and dependable machinery that are essential tools in warehouse and construction settings. Lift truck units vary depending on the kind of fuel which is utilized to power the lift truck and the type of work setting.
Electric forklifts are great for work sites that have limited ventilation because they produce no exhaust fumes and are fairly quiet. They are designed to be powered by industrial-strength, large batteries. Because the electric forklift batteries need charging, the worksite would need a charging station. The batteries are durable and can be re-charged up to 1,500 times before they have to be replaced. The charging station must be situated in a ventilated area and include an acid spill kit and an emergency eyewash station.
Forklifts powered by liquid propane have several benefits over electric and diesel powered machinery making them fairly common in warehouse and industrial environments. Propane engines are a lot cleaner compared to diesel-powered units. There is no down time needed to recharge an industrial battery, and the cost of electricity is more compared to the cost of propane. A lift truck propane tank could be refueled easily and quickly by changing out the empty tank with a full tank. Normally an off-site supplier refills the empty tank, making refueling really safe and efficient.
Diesel and Gasoline
Diesel and gasoline forklifts are the machine of choice for outdoor applications and rough terrain. They are usually found on lumber yards and construction sites. Their disadvantages include odorous exhaust, fairly high fuel costs and fairly high maintenance requirements. Their benefits comprise a longer lifespan than other units and reliability in tough conditions. Diesel and gasoline units must be refueled at a supply station on site that meets health and safety policies.
